Interview with the CEO of NLB Lease and Go

“Today we know you as the CEO of NLB Lease&Go. How did your business journey lead you to where you are now? What were your beginnings?”

“NLB Lease&Go is a new leasing company in the NLB Group. Previously, NLB Leasing was active. I have been in the leasing business since 2007. Before that, I worked abroad in the field of white goods.”

“In 2017, NLB Leasing entered into voluntary liquidation. What was the reason?”

“This is a consequence of the banking system’s rehabilitation, which limited the implementation of certain activities on the market, which is why NLB Leasing entered into voluntary liquidation at the end of 2017. This period is now behind us and we are continuing to market the leasing product in the new company with full sail.”

“You are now faced with a big challenge. You are, so to speak, a new player on the market. How do you differentiate yourself from the others and what are your key added values ​​that will help NLB Lease&Go grow?”

“Leasing has been present in the NLB Group for more than 30 years, and with it the knowledge and team in this area. Like you (Briefd), we are also looking to the future and trying to shape our services according to the trends we expect “tomorrow”. We are working hard to simplify and digitize cooperation with our partners. We can also boast of exceptional regional coverage, excellent financing conditions and obtaining information about possible approval within one hour of submitting an application.”

“You entered the market just as the COVID-19 situation was breaking out. It hit the automotive industry hard. How did you deal with the situation and what impact do you think the pandemic has/will have on the automotive industry in the future?”

“In the short term, the impact of the COVID-19 virus is visible in the decline in sales of both new and used vehicles. There is also a lack of supply, which is also related to interrupted supply chains in vehicle production. Here we see the role of Briefd as an important link that could potentially open new purchasing channels for used vehicle dealers and, with our cooperation, develop a product that would enable common stakeholders to manage their inventory in a more sustainable way.”

“You are part of the NLB Group, which means that you have a strong backend and can therefore probably offer customers better conditions than the competition. What advantages do you present to merchants, why do they choose you?”

“It is about establishing an ecosystem, a wide range of services that allows vehicle dealers to be supported in all processes of their operations. Moreover, it adds new services that offer partners more efficient sales.”

“How do you think used car sales will develop in the next 5 years?”

“Sales of used vehicles will continue to play an important role in the future. In terms of volume, sales of used vehicles are much larger than sales of new vehicles. Dealers who have a range of quality vehicles and who also offer a wide range of services during sales will have an advantage. In the long term, the situation will accelerate the development of electric vehicles as well as the greater use of digital channels when purchasing a vehicle.”

“Perhaps I could conclude with your plans for the future, in terms of our mutual cooperation, but also for NLB Lease&Go as an independent company?”
